VRC Power Rankings

With the VRC Season 3 finale just three days away, here are the final power rankings of this OMA season.

1. Tyler McDonald {1}

Three wins in four playoff races. A record six win season. Multiple wins on fuel mileage. The season 1 champion is rising to the occasion after a slow start to the season. 16 Top 5's in 17 starts is no easy feat, and he'll look to add to that and more on Saturday night.

2. Sebastian Cucalon {2}

Cucalon's ROVAL race ended in weird fashion after getting stuck in the wall, but the five time winner is a viable title threat nonetheless. He has five wins this season, and wants to make his final start for Chevrolet a good one.

3. Drew Jewah {3}

Jewah didn't give his 100% effort at the ROVAL, knowing he simply needed to start the race to reach the final 4. Obviously, with the most laps led of any driver this season, the driver of the 48 is destined to make the switch to Chevrolet a success in the end for Thunderbolt Racing before they return back to Toyota in season 4. After winning Charlotte, the mile and a half closest in structure to Texas, Jewah should have a legitimate shot at the title.

4. Austin Switzer {5}

Switzer came home third at the ROVAL, making it four top 5 finishes so far in the playoffs for the 99. An underdog for sure, but a force at the cookie cutters, Switzer hopes that a mix of good driving and luck can earn McGuines Motorsports its elusive first OMA title.

5. Aidan Savitski {4}

While it is unknown whether the Stig will race at Texas, it has been a successful first full year of OMA racing for England's Aidan Savitski. He kicked off the season with a Daytona 250 win, notched two more victories during the season, and is nearly a lock for fifth place in the final points standings. As ERP ceases operations Sunday, the future looks bright for the four time VRC winner as he moves directly to McGuines Motorsports.

VRC Next Power Rankings

The VRC Next finale is in sight, so here are the final power rankings of the season.

1. Jarrett Tallmadge {1}

Getting an extra week of preparation, Tallmadge stands as the VRC Next title favorite. A mile and a half master, Atlanta could be a very successful night for Team Thunderbolt.

2. JT Sipes {2}

9 poles, 3 wins, the stats don't lie for Sipes. If the connection stays good and he stays away from other people's messes, he should have as good a chance as anyone at winning the VRC Next season 2 crown.

3. Casey Masser {3}

A slight dark horse, Masser proved his versatility with a surprising second place finish at the Roval, and has momentum on his side heading to Atlanta. The lone HGM championship contender, he will be motivated to notch the title in his OMA rookie campaign.

4. JoJo Simz {5}

He might be the youngest and be seen as an underdog, but JoJo Simz has the most experience of anyone in these late season situations, nearly making it to the VRC season 1 finale. The driver of the 36 Ford has shown speed at the mile and a halfs this season, and just needs to put everything together at Atlanta.

5. Jose Suarez {4}

Despite not making the final 4, a solid season for Suarez, who will handily earn fifth place in the final standings. He should have a good chance at playing spoiler at Atlanta to best the contenders.

TMG Trucks Power Rankings

Less than two weeks until we crown a champion, here's the second to last addition of the TMG power rankings for this season.

1. Dunavan David {1}

McGuines Motorsports has a prime opportunity to finally win an OMA title as Dunavan David leads the power rankings once again. Four wins on the season, and he is definitely most deservant of the title based on regular season stats.

2. Gatlin Downey {5}

A late season charge? I don't know for sure, but what we do know is that Downey can win in clutch situations. He had trailed by 10 points entering Michigan, needing a victory to make the final 4, and he got it. Downey will definitely give his #33 Chevrolet a charge to the front at Homestead.

3. Andrew Miller {2}

Despite not competing for a title, Andrew Miller will be moving up to the VRC Next division in May. He won't be a champ, but the driver who burst onto the scene midseason would love to cap the season off with a victory.

4. Brandon Morris {4}

Morris hasn't raced much in the second half of the season, but don't forget; Miscraft Motorsports owns 3 of the 4 OMA titles so far. That Toyota magic could be on his side heading into Miami.

5. Mark Sylas {NR}

Definitely the underdog in the championship 4, Mark will have his work cut out for him. He might not be the fastest, but don't forget; he can run consistent laps and often avoid wrecks. Just think about what happened at Pocono. He'll need some luck, but a championship is within reach for Goeden Towing Motorsports.
